Age UK Charity - Year 7

Age UK runs through from January to February, and so the Year 7's took the lead with some assistance from Sixth Form and Form Tutors. The year created an informative PowerPoint and performed a fantastic drama piece displaying the struggles of elderly people in winter months who can't afford heating bills. Sixth Form right down to Pre-Prep thoroughly enjoyed the enactment - the little ones were especially enthusiastic!

We also had visitors from Age UK - Sally and Paul - and they were very impressed with the assembly and grateful for the Schools contribution, not only this year but in previous years.

Friday 7th was bobble day / Webber's 'Wear it Wooly' mufti. Competition winners for 'The Warmest Dressed' were brothers Milo (Junior) and Charlie de Gorta (Senior). Their seriously woolly taste in fashion must be genetic...

In total, the school raised an excellent £168, along with bags full of warm clothes and blankets! Very well done to the Year 7's, their initiative and productive attitude made the charity event a success, and helped Age UK continue to provide help and support to our older citizens in need!
